Nexus India Capital invests in SEDEMAC mechatronics

Mumbai, Sep 11 (UNI) Nexus India Capital today announced an investment in SEDEMAC Mechatronics, a company providing energy efficiency solutions for the automotive and renewable energy markets.

Founded by Professor Shashikanth Suryanarayanan, a high-energy, entrepreneurial professor from IIT Bombay who obtained his PhD at University of California, Berkeley SEDEMAC was incubated at SINE - IIT Bombay's on-campus incubator. It has developed electronic control modules, which increases fuel efficiency and reduces emissions of small engines and was working with some of the leading two wheeler companies in India and with global renewable energy firms.

The quantum of investment was not mentioned in the release issued by Nexus here today.

''We were very impressed by the passion of Shashi and the SEDEMAC team to build a global company from India providing state-of-the-art solutions to increase the efficiency of engines across various industries from automotive to alternate energy.

The domestic and the global markets are huge and the company is in the process of introducing their solutions across both,'' said Sandeep Singhal, Managing Director, Nexus India Capital Advisors.
