Kudumbasree workers get Surendranath award

Kozhikode, Sep 10: Communist Party of India Kerala Secretary Veliyam Bhargavan, writer Khadeeja Mumtaz and Kudumbasree workers of Kozhikode have been chosen for K V Surendera Nath Puraskaram for their outstanding contributions to their respective fields.

The award, instituted by K V Surendra Nath Memorial Trust in memory of the late CPI leader, carrying a cash prize of Rs 10,000 to each, would be presented to them at a function here next month, trust office-bearers told reporters here today.
