Trade across LoC not acceptable: PoK Refugees

Jammu Sep 10 (UNI) The refugees of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) today flayed the Central government's move to open cross border trade with Pakistan in Jammu and Kashmir and said it was candidly contesting with the constitutional claim over the territory illegally occupied by Pakistan.

''We are still deprived of 'refugees' status by the Centre because the PoK is being considered the integral part of the India,'' Rajiv Chunni, Chairman, SOS International - an organisation of PoK refugees, said at a press conference here.

Mr Chunni said the opening up of such routes with Pakistan through this state would only catapult militancy and subversive activities in the state which heading towards normalcy.

''The mainstream parties however, like Congress, BJP, NC and PDP always deceived the PoK refugees and they have failed to redress our problems for the last sixty-one years and it has been decided that we will not cast our votes in their favour,'' the SOS leader said.
