Police seize Rs 9 lakh worth gold

Hyderabad, Sep 10 (UNI) City police arrested a person moving under suspicious circumstances and seized 800 gm gold ornaments worth Rs nine lakh.

Bidyuth Das, a native of Hoogly district in West Bengal, was working as goldsmith with one Sukhdev Chakraborthy.

He robbed the gold ornaments given to his employer by a customer for polishing and fled to Pune and later to Nagpur in Maharashtra for disposing them.

As he could not dispose them at Nagpur, he returned here to sell the ornaments.However, he was caught.
