CA should speed up work: Nepal CA Chairman
Kathmandu, Sep 10: Nepal's Constituent Assembly (CA) Chairman Subas Nembang has said that the Constituent Assembly to speed up its work within the stipulated time.
Speaking at a program on public concerns in the constitution-making process here, Nembang said that the Assembly has been given a mandate to write the constitution within two years. "Immediately after formulation of Constituent Assembly rules and regulations, the Constituent Assembly should set itself a specific schedule and expedite the drafting process through different thematic committees," he added. Constituent Assembly member Nilambar Acharya said that it could accomplish its task within the given time frame only if it concentrates on its duty as Constituent Assembly instead of its role as a parliament, Kantipur reported.
