Shobha Yatra of police taken out

Barwani, MP, Sep 9 (UNI) A 'Shobha Yatra' of police personnel including the Superintendent of Police was taken out by people in this district for resolving theft case involving lakhs of rupees.

With the arrest of accused from various districts in the past one-and-half months, police claimed to have resolved theft case of Rs 12 lakh from businessman Bhikhulal Sharma's house on July 13.

An 'aarti' of SP Praveen Kumar Mathur and his team was done at border of Pansemal town and several citizens felicitated them by taking out 'Shobha Yatra' in the main market.

Mr Mathur described the welcome as the achievement of police that has won hearts of people. He returned Rs one lakh 'Samman Nidhi' announced by Mr Sharma stating that honouring police force was reward for them.
