Rs 10 lakh looted from bank

Indore, Sep 9 (UNI) About 10 unidentified masked persons looted more than Rs 10 lakh at gunpoint from State Bank of India branch at Prakashnagar here, police said.

City Superintendent of Police Sanjay Singh said the incident took place yesterday little while before the bank was about to close.

After entering the bank, the culprits divided themselves into two groups and looted Rs nine lakh from cash counter and about Rs one lakh from customers, while accomplice wearing a helmet kept guarding outside.

Police suspected that the accused had come on motorcycle. Combing had begun to track down robbers.
