Robbers escape with gold worth Rs.1.11 crores in AP
Hyderabad, Sep 7 (UNI) In a daylight robbery, two unidentified persons escaped with a car carrying gold worth Rs.1.11 crore by threatening the inmates of the car at gunpoint near Shamshahbad International Airport here today.
Police said three people of Marudhar Cour service of the city, Hariram, Madan Singh and Misra Ram while carrying four boxes of gold in the car were waylaid by two miscreants, wielding guns outside the airport, and they escaped with it.
The gold had reached the city this morning by Jet airways from Mumbai.
However, the police traced the abandoned car no Ap 09 DG1081 at Lingareddy Guda on the city outskirts and were verifying whether it was a bogus registration number.
The police announced a reward for the person who provides clues to trace out the culprits.
