Jawan killed, two injured in ongoing gun battle in Ramban
Jammu, Sep 7 (UNI) An Army jawan was killed while two others were injured in a fierce gun battle between security forces and suspected militants in Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir today, official sources here said.
''The encounter started when a patrol party of the army in tehsil Banihal came under heavy fire, which was retaliated by the troops,'' official sources told uni.
One of the army jawan, identified as Surya Babu and two others were injured, who were later shifted to district hospital, Udhampur, they said.
