APSRTC to operate 440 buses to Tirumala for Brahmotsavam

Tirupati, Sept 7(UNI) Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Crporation(APSRTC) would operate 440 buses to Tirumala for the nine-day annual Navaratri Brahmotsavam, beginning from October three.

Speaking to newspersons here yesterday, RTC Nellore and Kadapa Zone Executive Director N Vivekanada said about 3500 trips would be made on the ghat roads to facilitate the process for pilgrims during the festival.

Mr Vivekananda said efforts were on to increase the occupancy ratio to 90 per cent as against 81 per cent last year.

APSRTC would introduce 68 new buses in the current fiscal, he added.
