HP enhances financial aid to Second World War veterans

Shimla, Sep 6 (UNI) The Himachal Pradesh Government has decided to enhance the financial assistance being given to Second World War veterans from Rs 200 to Rs 500 per month.

The decision was taken by the Cabinet in its meeting, presided by Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal, last evening.

The Cabinet also approved financial assitance of Rs 500 per month to widows of Second World War veterans.

The decision would benefit about 1,565 war veterans and their widows.
