Cong hails NSG waiver; lauds UPA for historical victory
Lucknow, Sep 6 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh former Chief Minister and senior Congress leader Ramnaresh Yadav along with UPCC president Dr Rita Bahuguna Joshi welcomed the Nuclear Suppliers Group (NSG) decision of bringing India into the world nuclear mainstream and said it was a big victory for the UPA government.
Hailing the historical decision, the leaders congratulated the UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and said the deal would certainly help in providing power not only to urban segment but also to rural areas.
Lauding the External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee, Mr Yadav congratulated Mr Mukherjee saying it was possible only with his candid efforts and strong presentation.
The former chief minister said the UPA government had done a remarkable job and one can only applaud their efforts as words fall short for the historical victory.
He further criticised the opposition parties for demanding resignation from the Central government over the Nuke pact and said this strategic victory is the answer for all.
