Antony to leave on 4-day visit to US on Sept 7

New Delhi, Sep 4 (UNI) To further strengthen growing Indo-US ties, Defence Minister A K Antony will lead a high powered delegation to the USA between September 7-10.

Accompanied by the Defence Secretary, Director General (Acquisitions) and senior officers from the Army, Navy and Air Force, Mr Antony will hold meetings with his counterpart, US Secretary of Defence Roberts Gates on important bilateral issues related to defence.

Mr Antony will also meet US National Security Adviser, Stephen Hadley and Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice, besides visiting the Arlington National Cemetery.

He will also lay a wreath at the tomb of the Unknown Soldier and the Air Force Memorial.

The Defence Minister is making the four-day visit to the country on the invitation of US Secretary of Defence.
