HP gives portion of Udyog Bhawan to HP High Court
Shimla, Sep 3 (UNI) The Himachal Pradesh Government has decided to transfer a portion of Udyog Bhawan to Himachal Pradesh High Court.
Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal while talking to mediapersons at the Press Gallery of Himachal Vidhan Sabha today said that the High Court needed extra space to keep the records of additional 24,000 cases, which are pending after the quashing of State Tribunal, therefore the government decided to transfer a portion of Udyog Bhawan to the High Court.
On extending special industrial package to the state, Mr Dhumal said that the government will bring a motion in the assembly during the ongoing session to urge the Central Government to extend the package till 2013.
He said that to attract new industrial units in the state the government would ensure regular power supply to industires and make congenial atmosphere for the industries.
The government would set up a power corridor in the region which would make its own power grid for which bids from different power companies would be demanded.
He said that the state government had also offered Tata Group to set up Nano car manufacturing unit in the state.
Mr Dhumal said that a provision of Rs 37 crore in state budget would be made for Bhanupali-Bilaspur Railway line to improve the infrasture in the state.
