Sourav asks people to support small car project

Kolkata, Sep 2(UNI) Joining the debate over Singur, cricketer Sourav Ganguly today called upon the people to stand up in support of the cause of the small car project and future industry in West Bengal.

'' Let us support the cause of Tatas and the industry to create the future of us. If this project goes elsewhere, the state will become a dark spot. It is time for us to stand up,'' he said in a statement.

The former Indian skipper said as a citizen of West Bengal and a part of the Tata group since 1994, he felt industry was the future of the state.

'' The starting of the Nano project will be the beginning of an era in West Bengal which will completely revolutionise the prospect of the state and the future of the youth...,'' he said.
