British MP calls on Mizoram CM
Aizawl, Sep 2 (UNI) The visiting member of British House of Lords, Baroness Cox today called on Mizoram Chief Minister Zoramthanga at his office chamber.
Cox told the chief minister that the purpose of his visit was to study the effects of bamboo flowering or Mautam in local parlance.
At the same time, the British MP would also look into the living condition of people in neighbouring Myanmar and to see what aid his country could give.
Cox was also happy to see that Christianity and development goes hand-in-hand in Mizoram.
Accompanied by Rev David Thomas, Cox invited the chief minister to visit his country at the earliest.
