Over 13 lakh looted from LIC office in UP district
Sultanpur, Sep 1 (UNI) Armed miscreants today looted over Rs 13 lakh from Life Insurance Corporation of India's (LIC) work place in Kadipur area here.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Durgacharan Mishra said the incident occurred when the LIC employees were about to leave the office and deposit the money in a bank.
Wherein, some armed men barged into the office and decamped with Rs 13.25 lakh, the SP added.
Meanwhile, police had registered a case and commenced a manhunt to nab the accused.
