Left Front's anti-imperialism "Mahamichil" chokes city
Kolkata, Sep 1 (UNI) The ruling Left Front in West Bengal took out massive ''anti-imperialism'' processions in Kolkata and Siliguri today protesting the price hike, the India-US nuclear deal and the UPA government's foreign policy.
Led by prominent leaders of the Left parties, scores of thousands of people marched in both the processions virtually choking both the cities, holding banners that read, ''We want independence, sovereignty and peace''.
