TN Govt announces financial assistance to Anna families

Chennai, Aug 30 (UNI) Tamil Nadu Government today announced financial assistance to the tune of Rs 40 lakh to the families of the heirs of late Chief Minister and party founder C N Annadurai.

Party district secretaries, in a meeting, chaired by Chief Minister and DMK President M Karunanidhi, adopted a resolution to provide Rs 10 lakh each to the families of four sons of Anna.

The families of C N A Parimalam, C N A Ilangovan, C N A Gowthaman and C N A Babu would be given the assistance on September 15, when Anna's birth centenary begins.

The party, in another resolution, decided to celebrate the centenary for the entire year, throughout the state, in a grand manner.

During the celebrations, the greatness of Anna would be proclaimed to the world, the resolution added.
