Sultry condition persists in Delhi, mercury shoots up to 37.3 deg C
New Delhi, Aug 27 (UNI) The sultry conditions in Delhi since Monday persisted today with the mercury shooting up to 37.3 degrees Celsius.
A bright sunny sky, coupled with a high humidity level of 91 per cent, led to a rise in maximum temperature to 37.3 degrees Celsius, three degrees above normal.
The high humidity also led to the minimum temperature being recorded two degrees above normal at 27.6 degrees.
Some relief could be in offing for Delhiites from the humid weather with the weatherman forecasting some thundry development in the city.
The Met office has forecast a partly cloudy sky in Delhi during the next 24 hours with thundry development in a few areas.
