HP supports one rank one pension scheme for ex-servicemen
Shimla, Aug 27 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Chief Minster Prem Kumar Dhumal said the state had taken up with Centre the demand of one rank one pension of ex-servicemen.
Mr Dhumal while talking to the Himachal Pradesh State Ex-Servicemen Action Committee delegation headed by Sqn Leader Brij Lal Dhiman (Retd) said the state government had created a separate department of Sainik Welfare to cater to the rehabilitation and other allied requirements of the soldiers.
"The Ex-Servicemen Corporation and Sainik Welfare Cell are functioning in the state to help ex-servicemen and their wards are being rehabilitated suitably and are also availing the liberal loan facilities to take up their own avocations," he said.
He said that the state had also raised eco-battalions where the ex-servicemen were being engaged to protect the environment.
