Jaipur bomb blasts suspect arrested in Lucknow

Lucknow, Aug 25 (UNI) Rajasthan police in cooperation with Uttar Pradesh police today arrested Shahbaz Hussain, a suspected terrorist involved in May 13 Jaipur serial bomb blasts.

The arrest was made from Maulviganj area of the state capital.

The Rajasthan police had come with the arrest warrant which was executed with the help of UP police here, a senior police official told UNI. Major leads were expected after the arrest, the police said.

Hussain is said to be a close aide of Abu Bashar, the mastermind of Ahmedabad bomb blasts on July 26 and was arrested from here on the eve of Independence Day. His involvement in the Jaipur blasts is also being suspected.

Hussain is being produced in a local court where his transit remand would be sought, the police said.
