CLP adopts resolution authorising Sonia to take decision

Puducherry, Aug 25 (UNI) Congress Legislature Party(CLP) meeting held here today to sort out present crisis has adopted a resolution authorising All India Congress Committee(AICC) President Sonia Gandhi to take a decision in this regard, Union Minister and AICC Coordinator Vyalar Ravi said.

Talking to newspersons here, Mr Ravi said the CLP Meeting presided by Chief Minister N Rangasamy was held in a cordial atmosphere and the resolution was moved by Mr Rangasamy.

He said the three member delegation had a general meeting and one-to-one with Mr Rangasamy, Ministers and party MLAs and heard their views. Due to certain technicalities, the Independent Members supporting the Congress did not attend the CLP meeting. The delegation, however, met them separately and heard their views.

All the views obtained from the members along with their observations would be submitted to Ms Sonia Gandhi, who would take a final decision, he added.
