1 killed, over than 60 injured during curfew violation in Kashmir

Srinagar, Aug 25 (UNI) One person was killed and over 60 others were injured, half of them with bullets, when security forces opened fire, burst teargas shells and resorted to lathicharge to disperse processionists who defied curfew restrictions in different parts of the valley today.

Official sources said security forces opened fire to disperse processionists at Narbal on Srinagar-Muzaffarabad road.

They said one person was killed while another was injured in the firing there.

They said a CRPF jawan was stabbed during demonstration at Beerwa in central Kashmir district of Badgam today.
