BSNL to organise Lok Adalat in Aurangabad on Aug 31
Aurangabad, Aug 24 (UNI) For the first time, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has organised a Lok Adalat at the magistrate court here for the customers to settle their pending complaints on August 31.
Addressing a press conference yesterday, BSNL General Manager (district) N Rajashekar said, around 750 notices were issued to the customers to clear the dues in the Lok Adalat, out of which 600 accepted the notices, while the remaining were returned.
The pending cases involving more than Rs 8,000 will be settled on the day. Currently, BSNL has a total outstanding amount of around Rs 75 lakh, while the administration is expecting to recover a minimum of Rs 20 lakh on this day.
The customers will be provided with the facilities of issuing bills on the spot. However, the payments can be made in parts or through post dated cheques, as per the compromise memo, Mr Rajashekar said.
He also appealed to the customers to settle their due on the day and enhance the revenue of the government.
