SBI counterfeit currency racket accused to be booked under NSA

Siddharthnagar, Aug 23 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh administration has initiated proceedings to execute the National Security Act (NSA) against the SBI counterfeit currency racket accused and suspended bank cashier Sudhakar Tripathi and co-accused Abid Sheikh.

Official sources said notice had also been issued to cancel the licences of a gun and a revolver recovered from Abid.

Meanwhile, the screening of the cash in the main chest of SBI Dumariaganj branch had been completed, however, officers refused to divulge the exact number of fake notes recovered.
