Heavy rains in Orissa, Chhattisgarh

Pune, Aug 23 (UNI) Heavy rains are likely to occur at many places in Orissa, Chhattisgarh and Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, west Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and north Konkan.

They are also likely to occur at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, West Bengal, Sikkim, Jharkhand, Bihar, east Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, east Rajasthan, east Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, south Gujarat state, south Konkan, Goa, north coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, coastal Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep, and at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir, west Rajasthan, west Madhya Pradesh, north Gujarat state, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, south Konkan, Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu and interior Karnataka.

The south-west monsoon has been active in Orissa. It has been subdued in West Bengal, Sikkim, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat state, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Vidarbha, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Kerala.

Heavy rains have occurred at most places in Orissa and at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir and Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Uttarakhand and at many places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Punjab, Konkan and Goa, and at a few places in Gangetic West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Chhattsigarh, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, coastal Karnataka. They have occurred at isolated places in Assam, Meghalaya, Jharkhand, Bihar, Himachal Pradesh, east Rajasthan, east Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat region, sourasthra and Kutch, Madhya Maharashtra, Rayalaseema, south interior Karnataka and Kerala.
