BJP to support any understanding reached with SAYSS

New Delhi, Aug 23 (UNI) Welcoming the meeting of the Shri Amarnath Yatra Sangharsh Samiti delegation with that of the government to end the Amarnath land impasse, the BJP today said it would support any understanding it reached with the Samiti.

BJP spokesman Rajiv Pratap Rudy said the meeting was considering a five-point formula for the use of 100 acres of land by the Amarnath Shrine Board without diluting its powers granted by the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly. The government took a delayed action after sleeping over the issue when the agitation was already rocking for 38 days.

The two orders of the Jammu and Kashmir High Court should be the base for solving the crisis, he said.
