WB: One killed three injured in road accident
Barrackpore, Aug 22: A lorry driver was killed and three others were injured in a head on collision with another truck on Kalyani-Barrackpore expressway under Beejpur police station in North 24 Parganas district today.
Police said a speeding lorry collided with a truck on the busy expressway at Kampa crossing injuring seriously four people, including the lorry driver.
The injured were rushed to Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Hospital at Kalyani where the driver was declared dead while the injured were admitted, police added.
Traffic was snarled up on the busy expressway for some time due to the accident.
