Distribution of BPL and APL cards should be completed by October

Udupi, Aug 22 (UNI) Karnataka Minister for Food and Civil Supplies H Halappa today said that instructions were issued to complete the process of taking photographs of the BPL and APL card holders by September and start issuing cards by October this year.

Addressing a press conference here after chairing the review meeting of his department, he said that all the Ration shop owners in the state have been strictly instructed that the food grains should be lifted from the godown within 10th of every month and distribute to all shops by 15th and shops should distribute the beneficiaries till the end of the month.

He said that the government had also planned to set up control room in every district for receiving the customer's complaint and its redress. Each fair shop owners have been asked to display the name list of the BPL card holders in their shop, he added. UNI MA MSP HVB1742
