Centre did not share expenses for conduct of IFFI: Kamat
Panaji, Aug 22 (UNI) The Centre did not share any of the expenses incurred for the conduct of successive International Film Festivals of India (IFFI) held in Goa, Chief Minister Digambar Kamat informed the Legislative Assembly today.
In a written reply to a starred question, the Mr Kamat said the state had incurred Rs 14.63 crore in the year 2006-07 and Rs 11.66 crore in 2007-08 on different heads.
The state had paid the entire expenditure incurred but payment of Rs 13.48 lakh in respect of venue-wise cultural programmes and Rs 4.05 lakh in respect of Kala Academy was pending, he added.
