Congress celebrates birth anniversary of Rajiv Gandhi in Bihar

Patna, Aug 20 (UNI) Congress workers celebrated the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi throughout the state today.

At state headquarter of the party here, senior leaders participated in a function organised to mark the birth anniversay of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. They also took pledge to strengthen the party following the ideals and vision of Mr Gandhi.

Reports reaching from several parts of the state said the function was also organised by the party at district and block levels to mark the occasion.

Meanwhile, acting president of the Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee(BPCC) Sameer Kumar Singh said the party would observe Sankalp Divas tomorrow on the occasion of birth anniversary of Mr Gandhi. Several senior leaders including Union minister Meira Kumar, Subodh Kant Sahay, Shakeel Ahmad would also participate the function here to mark the Sankalp Divas.
