Boy murders friend's sister for music system

Suri, Birbhum, Aug 18 (UNI) A fourteen-year-old boy murdered his friend's minor sister to get his friend's music system and dumped her body in a canal, police said today.

Arka Das (15) of Laldhighia village after seeing Sagar Dolui (14) having an ipod, used as music system, was plotting to own it.

After failing to get it from his friend, he called his sister Seuly, a class three student, at an opportune moment yesterday and told her to lend the ipod so that they could hear music together away from home. Both then went to a nearby canal as promised last evening. There he strangulated her to death and dumped the body into the canal.

The murder came to light after discovery of lifeless body of Seuli this morning and subsequent arrest of Arka, son of a daily wage labour.
