Five, including 4 of family arrested in fake passport racket
New Delhi, Aug 17 (UNI) A couple and their two children, along with a travel agent, were arrested from the airport here while trying to travel to Afghanistan on forged documents.
While the couple Mahendrajit Khurana and his wife Avinash, and their children, were arrested on August 14 from the IGI Airport, the agent Wariam Singh was arrested from his Greater Kailash residence in South Delhi yesterday, according to police sources.
Singh allegedly tried to bribe the police team with Rs 11 lakh for 'leaving' him. The sleuths laid a trap and arrested him when he was handing over Rs seven lakh to them.
Meanwhile, the couple, during interrogation, said they were Afghan nationals and were living here as refugees.
