Duffy is searching for Mr. Right

London, Aug 17 : Welsh singer songwriter Duffy has revealed that she is looking for a man who will make her heart sing.

Duffy is currently dating a lot of different men, who are surprised to know that she is single.

"I just had a coffee with a guy, a musician, I can't say who, in Soho. We'll see what happens - some of the boys that I'm hanging with will read this and think it's strange when I say I'm single," the Mirror quoted Duffy, real name Aimee Anne Duffy, as saying.

"But it takes a lot to say 'right, we're doing this'. There are a couple of things that I entertain myself with at the minute but it's borderline platonic right now. So, c'mon lads, gear it up a bit!

"I still meet boys all the time, they are lovely, gorgeous and funny, they tick all the boxes but there's one thing that happens to define love and I don't know what it is, until it happens.

"It's bizarre, it's the one thing we all talk about with our mates. What's on our minds at the pub or at work, what's the one thing we are looking for? It's that, well it is for me and my mates," she added.

Most of Duffy's lyrics about the agonies of love come from her personal experience.

"I've only done what most teenage girls have done - fallen in love, made some wrong decisions, been treated badly by some people. The only reason you become strong is because of the things you experience in life," she said.

"Love does fascinate me because I'm a bit of a control freak. But real love? You can't choose it, that's the weird thing about it, it chooses you.

"I did have it once with a guy, I wrote Stepping Stone about him. He wasn't a local guy in Wales but he was someone I knew, I've never told him that the song was about him, he was so out of reach.

"I've never had that before, it was unrequited, but it was real, it was all consuming.

"I'd fall over, knock things over, I couldn't do anything right. So I just pushed it away because I thought he's not going to give me what I want - to be with him for the rest of my life. I never told him but I will never forget that," she added.
