Free travel facility for women in Haryana on Raksha Bandhan
Chandigarh, Aug 14 (UNI) The Haryana Government will provide free travel facility to women with their children up to the age of 15 years in Haryana Roadways buses on Raksha Bandhan.
Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda said this free travel concession would be available on August 16 to women of all ages in buses of Haryana Roadways operating within the state including the buses plying upto Chandigarh and Delhi except in Haryana Gaurav, Deluxe and AC Volvo buses.
He said the facility was introduced to help women to visit their brothers to celeberate Raksha Bandhan.
Meanwhile, the Haryana Transport Commissioner said in view of the expected rush of passengers on this day, all general managers of Haryana Roadways had been asked to personally ensure the plying of a maximum number of buses.
