Free ride for women on Rakhi in DTC buses

New Delhi, Aug 14 (UNI) As a special gesture, Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit today announced that women in Delhi would be able to travel for free in DTC buses on 'Raksha Bandhan' that is being celebrated on Saturday.

The decision has been taken to ensure that women could reach easily to their brothers' places, she said.

They would be allowed free ride in all DTC ordinary buses and green low-floor buses till 1700 hrs on that day.

Ms Dikshit has conveyed her warm greetings to all Delhiites on the occasion of Independence Day and 'Raksha Bandhan'.
