Teenager alleges gangrape, medical report says 'no'

New Delhi, Aug 12 (UNI) A 16-year-old girl today alleged that she has been gangraped by nearly a dozen people in Chanakyapuri area here early this morning, but police found the allegations untrue.

Police said her allegations were found untrue after investigations.

''Medical reports also failed to substantiate her claims,'' said a senior police official.

A call to this effect was received from the girl, aged about 18-20 years, at about 0500 hrs on the PCR after which she was taken to the RML Hospital for medical examination, which confirmed ''no sexual assault''.

The girl, who had come from Meerut in Uttar Pradesh, is allegedly unstable mentally.

''No case has been registered,'' he added.
