Japanese film fest in Chennai begins
Chennai, Aug 12 (UNI) A three-day Japanese film festival, in commemoration of the Indo-Japan Film Festival year, began here today.
Mr Kazuo Minagawa, Consul-General of Japan in Chennai, inaugurated the festival, jointly organised by the Consulate General of Japan in Chennai and the Indo-Cine Appreciation Foundation.
Five films - Swing Girls, Doraemon the Move-Nobita's Dinosaur, First Love, Ghost Pub and My Sons -would be screened in the festival at the South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce auditorium, here.
Industrialist R Veeramani, President of Indo-Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Mr John Prabhakar, President of Indo-Polish Chamber of Commerce and Industry, were the guests of honour, and actor Sujitha lighted the lamp.
