Soz condemns killing of Aziz, demands probe

Srinagar, Aug 11 (UNI) Strongly condemning the death of Hurriyat Conference (HC) leader Sheikh Abdul Aziz in police firing, Union Minister Prof Saifuddin Soz today demanded a probe in the incident.

Mr Soz, who is also the president of the state Congress, challenged the justification of the firing on processionsts.

He said police could have stopped the processionists, including Sheikh Abdul Aziz at Baramulla. How the processionsts break the police and security force cordon and reach at a place where police opened fire, he asked.

Mr Soz demanded an inquiry into the incident.
