Keira Knightley regularly discusses sex with her 'friendly' mum

London, Aug 11 : Hollywood actress Kiera Knightley has revealed that her mom Sharman Mc Donald is more of a close friend to her than a mother, as she can discuss everything with her, including sex.

The 'Bend it like Beckham' actress described her 57-year-old mother as a chilled out hippy. "Mum and I would always talk about sex," the Mirror quoted Knightley as saying.

"She'd come up to my room, have me roll her cigarettes and then tell me I had to have one with her, It's not the typical mother-daughter thing but we're extremely close," she added.

The actress revealed that she and her brother Caleb were raised in an informal way.

"Mum's a bit mental in a good way, she's this chilled-out hippy mother," the actress said.
