CPI(M) condemns public-private partnership in health sector
Shimla, Aug 11 (UNI) The Himachal Pradesh unit of CPI(M) has critisised the state government's proposal to encourage public private partnership in the health sector.
"In the garb of public private partnership, as envisaged in the budgetary proposals, the government wants to privatise the health institutions in the state," State Seceretary Rakesh Singh said here today.
"Anyone who would be interested will be allowed to open medical college without any hassles and the government will pave the way and work as an agent of such private medical college managements," he said.
"Who will ensure the availablity of proper infrastructure, faculty and other necessary services," he questioned.
Mr Singha also charged the BJP regime of backtracking from its promise of opening medical colleges in the government sector.
