10 feared drowned as boat capsizes in UP

Barabanki, Aug 11 (UNI) As many as 10 people were feared drowned after a boat ferrying them capsized at Dorara ghat in Kothi area here today.

The boat was carrying all in all 35 people.

Of them, 25 people have been saved by the rescue workers, while the body of a boy has been fished out.

A search for nine others was still on.

Meanwhile, Superintendent of Police (SP) Praveen Kumar said the incident occurred as the boat was ferrying more people than its capacity.
