Ishmeet died due to drowning: Viscera examination

{image-Ishmeet Singh_09082008.jpg news.oneindia.in}Patiala, Aug 9: The viscera examination of 'Voice of India 2007' winner Ishmeet Singh on Saturday, Aug 9 revealed that his death was ''simply a case of drowning''.

The viscera examination of Ishmeet, who died in a swimming pool of a resort in Maldives on July 29, was conducted here at Government Medical College (GMC). Dr Manjeet Singh Bal, head of the Pathology Department of GMC, said a team of four doctors, including him, conducted the viscera examination of Ishmeet's brain and a lung and found that he died due to drowning. The post-mortem of Ishmeet's body conducted earlier at Ludhiana had showed that the 19-year-old singer died due to ''asphyxia''.
