New Delhi, Aug 6 (UNI) Bharatiya Janshakti Party chief Uma Bharti was today detained from outside the residence of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh when she threatened to hold a dharna on the Amarnath shrines issue, sources said.

The former BJP leader, along with her supporters, had arrived outside the 7, Race Course road residence of the Prime Minister to hold a dharna outside the PM house, where an all party meeting is being held on the burning issue.

Amid protests, Ms Bharti and her supporters were removed by the police from the PM residence and detained, the sources said.
