Woman gets 10-year imprisonment for drug peddling

Moga, Aug 5 (UNI) A local court has sentenced a woman to ten-year imprisonment on charges of drug peddling.

Pronouncing the judgement yesterday, additional sessions judge Amarjot Bhatti also imposed a fine of Rs one lakh on the woman drug peddler, Puro of Kot Mohammad Khan.

A case under NDPS Act was registered against her when the Dharamkot Police during a raid in her house in November, 2004 recovered 60 Kg of poppy husk.
