Delhi Metro earnings cross Rs 1 crore on single day
New Delhi, Aug 5 (UNI) The Delhi Metro crossed Rs 1 crore in passenger earnings on a single day yesterday, notching up yet another achievement to its credit.
''The Metro earned Rs. 1,05,10,309 crore yesterday, that is August 4,'' DMRC spokesperson Anuj Dyal said.
The maximum earning was from the Indraprastha Dwarka (Line-III) as DMRC earned over Rs 43 lakh from passenger revenue. On the Dilshad Garden-Rithala (Line-I) the earning was over Rs.35 lakhs while on the underground line Central Secretariat-Vishwavidhyalaya (Line-II) it was around Rs 26 lakh, the spokesperson said.
In recent months, the Metro has been recording an increase in rideship, with the rideship levels crossing 8 lakhs last week.
The ridership was 7.95 lakh yesterday.
