Trader shot dead, commotion on highway

Sultanpur, Aug 3 (UNI) A mob of enraged traders created ruckus on Allahabad-Faizabad highway over the death of their colleague in Amethi constituency area here today.

The agitators closed down their shops and demanded arrest of the accused.

According to police, Vinod Kumar was shot at by some miscreants when he was returning home in Ramganj bazaar late last night. He died on the spot.

The murder occurred over extortion of money, they added.
