HP Governor Prabha Rau to be felicitated in Nagpur tomorrow

Nagpur, Aug 3 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Governor Prabha Rau, who hails from Vidarbha region of Maharashtra, will be felicitated on her appointment to the gubernatorial post at a function here tomorrow.

Noted litterateur Ram Shewalkar will felicitate Ms Rau at the function, being organised by an all-party committee.

Ms Rau will be on a brief visit to Vidarbha from tomorrow, her first to the region after assumption of office. She would arrive here from Mumbai by air in morning, according to an official press release issued here.

Later in the day, Ms Rau would leave by road for Wardha, where she is scheduled to be accorded another public felicitation, and camp there for the night, the release said.

On August 5, Ms Rau would lay the foundation stone of the proposed building of a college of agriculture in Akola district, and attend a felicitation function there in the evening, the release said.

The Himachal Pradesh Governor would then leave for Amravati and stay there in the night, the release said.

Ms Rau is scheduled to attend various functions in Amravati district on August 6, and leave for Nagpur by road in the evening.

The Governor would return to Mumbai by air the same evening, the release added.
