1 dead, 1 injured in accidents at airport tarmac
Chennai, Jul 31 (UNI) A loader working with the King Fisher Airlines was killed after being knocked down by a Paramount Airways vehicle near the tarmac of the airport here today.
Airport sources said a vehicle of Paramount Airways, while returning to the departure lounge to pick passengers, hit Siva (33), who had just come to duty.
Siva sustained serious injuries and was rushed to a private hospital in Pallavaram, where he died.
Later the vehicle driver surrendered before the airport police.
In another accident at the tarmac, a Kolkata-bound passenger identified as R Sekar (42) sustained minor injuries when the Spicejet vehicle, transporting passengers from the departure area to the aircraft, rammed into a trolley.
